The Project Manager works closely with the compliance team to ensure that systems are compliance with new regulations regarding trading systems and retirement funds.   The PM  provides day-to-day project management expertise for a number of projects, to successful on time/on scope/on budget delivery.  The Project Manager ensures that vendor and company personnel are performing functions as well as in house personnel.  Financial Services expertise is required, experience with wealth management software solutions and data warehousing of WM software is highly preferred. Requires a very strong, hands on PM with the ability to heard cats, and keep multiple stakeholders satisfied.  Key to this role is communicating project status and making sure all invested parties know what is expected of them and are doing it.


 Primary Responsibilities:
Develop detailed project plan, including tasks, milestones, anticipated problems, and corrective actions.
Provide direction to the project team to ensure the assigned deliverables meet the given deadlines.
Proactively identify and communicate project risks and issues. Ensure that issues are escalated appropriately to PMO management and/or business and technical sponsors.
Provide regular, thorough status reporting on projects.
- Provide appropriate course-correction feedback to the PMO.
- Conducting and participating in platform and vendor selection and evaluation; and be able to make suggestion and recommendation to the overall evaluation team
- Managing vendors to deliver services on time and under budget
- Working with cross functional teams to develop and install necessary policies and procedures
-  Lead mission critical projects that have an immediate and quantifiable impact on the bottom line of the company
 
NO OR VERY LIMITED TRAVEL REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
 
Qualifications:
 
- 8 + years experience as a project manager in financial services, including a proven track record with projects that include a significant technology delivery
- Experience with Data Warehouse - production data systems integration and leading - the activities of ETL developers and Business Analysts.  
- Experience with multiple system development methods such as Waterfall, RUP and/or Agile.
- Big Four / Five consulting company experience highly desired
- Proven track record delivering projects on time, on budget, and on scope.
- Demonstrated success establishing clear priorities and managing changing demands to achieve strategic priorities.
- Excellent organization skills; must be able to manage disparate tasks; manage project plans; manage ad-hoc teams without solid lines of authority.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.  
- Must be able to communicate with technical managers, technical development staff, business analysts, and multiple levels within the enterprise
