Overview

The Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Specialist will assist with the development, deployment, maintenance. and continuous improvement of the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) program. In this position, the Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Specialist will ensure all BCDR content is tracked for business processes and technology systems to ensure they are maintained and exercised in accordance to corporate policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance/regulatory requirements.

The Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Specialist  must be able to work independently with appropriate guidance and drive results by working with process and system owners within their BCDR data records. The individual will track, update, schedule, and report on activities that support the BCDR program.
 
Responsibilities

- Assist with Business Impact Analysis activities (e.g. interviews, questionnaires, data input. and assessment)
- Assist with Technical Impact Analysis activities (e.g. interviews, questionnaires, data input, and assessment)  
- Assist with integrated/comprehensive business continuity (BC) and disaster recovery (DR) annual exercises (e.g. participate, document, plan, and coordinate)
- Assist in gathering data, meeting with the process plan owners, updating central system for processes that will help develop BC Plans across the organization
- Assist process and system owners with general BCDR questions 
- Track and schedule BCDR notification emails to managers/employees
- Create JIRA tickets to track, monitor, and follow up on the BCDR status with Managers
- Assign and initiate approvals (Fusion RM and/or DocuSign)
- Collaborate with functional managers to maintain BCDR plans
- Collect all of the processes/systems/plans PDF forms and uploading into evidence folders
- Monitor and respond to group emails or Slack channel
- Generate BCDR reports and distribute to Managers, reporting on any overdue items
- Other duties as needed to support the BCDR Program

Qualifications

- 2+ years experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, or related area
- BA or BS Degree
- Experience in managing projects and working with cross functional teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Documentation and Evidence driven methods
- Familiarity with SaaS/Cloud technologies
- Familiarity with infrastructure technology
- Familiarity with Business Continuity exercises
- Familiarity with Disaster Recovery exercises
- Highly detail oriented
- Good organizational skills
