Summary:
 
The Senior Data Analyst - Banking/Wealth Management works with subject matter experts from the project team to determine the data requirements for the client’s data warehousing system, develops requirements into functional specifications and detailed data flow design documents, and participates in the full development process life-cycle from concept, through testing, to implementation.
 
Deliverables:
 
- Collaborate with Project Manager and business and technology/vendor partners to jointly identify data needs required to deliver the next generation of data warehousing solutions.
- Reconcile source data with data at vendor to support transition to client’s data warehouse.
- Identify necessary data, reconciling with new application and legacy data sources and ensure a successful implementation of data warehousing capabilities.
- Establish data quality rules. - Write and execute data quality checks. 
- Research and analyze data in support of business functions.
- Analyze user acceptance testing.
- Develop and verify data mapping as needed to support the client’s project.
- Provide technical specs to development team such that ETLs can be built to spec.
 - Create detailed documentation (design specifications, data mapping, data flows and sequence diagrams) and verify data mapping as needed to client’s warehousing project.
- Design and support data quality checks.
 
 
Required Experience & Education:
 
- 7+ years of relevant experience in data analysis and/or data management
- 5+ years of relevant work experience with background in wealth management and/or client reporting
- Extensive knowledge of SQL
- Experience debugging code
- Experience with canonical data models
- Knowledge of Private Wealth Management/Investment Management  with ability to interpret definitions and calculations from business language to developer logic
- Clear, high-level understanding of complex data models and software integration/delivery
- Understanding of traditional and alternative asset class investment data, including but not limited to equity, fixed income, private equity, real estate, derivatives, mutual funds, ETFs, global assets, foreign exchange, etc.
- BA or BS in Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
